MOTU Not Dead At Retail Confirmed By Mattel

Thanks to the team at Adultcollector.org, we get confirmation direct from the horse’s mouth that MOTU is Not Dead At Retail Confirmed by Mattel! Yes the folks at Adultcollector.org, conducted a Q&A with the actual MOTU brand team at Mattel, and they directly confirmed that the New Origins and Masterverses figures will sold at Retail at stores like Target and Walmart! They also said that look forward to seeing Snake Mountain in retail stores for the holiday season as well! But I think the most exciting take away from this Q&A has got to be the fact that they said ” Rest assured, we have a lot more Origins and Masterverse figures in the pipeline. We’re working closely with our retail partners, including Walmart and Target, to make way for fresh product in the Fall.” Meaning there’s alot more MOTU coming down the pipeline! MOTU is ALIVE and WELL FOLKS!!!

CONFIRMED: NEW ORIGINS AND MASTERVERSE FIGURES WILL BE SOLD IN RETAIL STORES!

This past weekend, I had a chance to conduct a Q&A with the brand team at Mattel working to bring us all of these wonderful Masters of the Universe toys! The team dispelled recent rumors, confirming for me that the new Origins and Masterverse figures WILL be sold in retail stores, such as Walmart and Target, not just online.

“Our MOTU Day presale will be fans’ first opportunity to purchase Snake Mountain. The iconic playset will be sold online and in select retail stores this holiday season as well. Rest assured, we have a lot more Origins and Masterverse figures in the pipeline. We’re working closely with our retail partners, including Walmart and Target, to make way for fresh product in the Fall. In some instances, stores need to work through the inventory they currently have before bringing in newness, but we can’t wait for fans to get their hands on the latest MOTU releases!”

Note that it isn’t 100% clear yet which figures will be exclusive to certain stores, and if there are any online exclusives. The new MOTU toys were advertised as arriving in the Fall, though some figures are already starting to ship from various online retailers.

So this should totally dispel all the rumors and questions that have been floating around for the past few months! A certain someone has been pushing this theory that the line is dead, but indeed it is not. Last month’s tide wave of reveals and now this confirmation directly contradicts those rumors! So get excited everyone, looks like we have alot more MOTU in our future! Even the elusive MOTU Origins figure Duplico has started showing up in brick and mortar Walmart stores!
