Have you ever thought of mashing up two of the biggest toy lines from 1980’s? If you love GI Joe and Masters of the Universe, Mr. Home Arcade has a concept for you! With the reveal of the GI Joe Classified Series Once A Man Cobra Commander SDCC 2024 exclusive, Mr. Home Arcade’s gears were turning as he’s a 5.5″ scale collector, mainly Masters of the Universe. The inspriation for this figure came from a comment Mr. Home Arcade heard in a YouTube live stream. Recreating the iconic poses from the official images of the GI Joe Classified Series figure, let’s dive into the pics to envision what a GI Joe / MOTU mashup would like.

He put together this killer concept using parts he had in front of him! Super7 Ultimates Cobra Commander, a Masters of the WWE Universe Jake The Snake Roberts torso, MOTU Origins Kobra Khan arms, Masters of the WWE Universe John Cena waist, andMOTU Origins Mekaneck’s legs. The vest is from none other than a Masters of the WWE Universe Stone Cold Steve Austin figure as it is very apropos as he is the Texas Rattlesnake. The Super7 Ultimates Cobra Commander head fits perfectly on the MOTWWE Universe Jake the Snake Roberts torso. The Stone Cole Steve Austin vest is recolored and black washed to give it a work and tattered look. The hands are from an Anti Eternia He-Man and the cuffs are from a Masterverse Grizlor.

The head is from a Mezco Rumble Society Death Adder, painted green, as he tries to create a MOTU version of what Cobra Commander’s head would look like!

The image of Cobra Commander holding his helmet is iconic and the textures from the Jake the Snake Roberts and Mezco Death Adder go really well together!

He also outfitted the figure with some accessories from the Super7 Cobra Commander figure.

Once A Man Cobra Commander Reveal

Emily from the Hasbro GI Joe Team name only revealed the ” Once a Man” Cobra Commander at WonderCon 2024. IGN posted the Hasbro lineup of SDCC 2024 exclusives and thanks to sir Edlor himself, masterversal_toyhunter, for the heads up and to toyhuntershollow for the early tip off! Once a Man Cobra Commander is this years GI Joe Classified Series San Diego Comic Con 2024 exclusive and he looks unreal!

The 130th figure in the G.I. Joe Classified line offers collectors a new take on iconic villain Cobra Commander. This particular Cobra Commander is modeled after the character’s mutated appearance in G.I. Joe: The Movie. The figure includes alternate head, hands and weapons, as well as a bonus figure of Cobra Commander mutated into snake form. The figure comes packaged inside a deluxe box with lenticular imagery and a display window that shows off the numerous accessories. Price: $39.99

He is 130 in the series and the box art pays homage to his transformation and also teases Golobulus from the Cobra La.

Once a Man Cobra Commander comes in an amazing box with tons of illustrations to feast your eyes on! The packout is outstanding as he comes with a Snake head, regular helmet head, silver face shied, gun, backpack, knife, extra hands and a freaky snake that is Cobra Commander mutated into snake form.

Any way you put on the accessories, he will look amazing and this will give you many display options!

We always know the dio shots are point and today is no different! Cobra Commander is set in a snow theme as you can see him with and without his helmet on!

His musted form looks so freaky! It is so well done with the snake texture and love the little arms as it’s a perfect blend of human and reptile.
