Panthor New Eternia Masterverse Package & Hi-Res Art Reveal

Revealed yesterday, the New Eternia Masterverse Panthor is on the prowl and his package and artwork look stunning! Manual Eduardo Caritas & Eamon O’Donahue and their incredible team of package designers and artists bring us another spectacular work of art! Panthor was revealed in the Mattel Creations portion of the SDCC 2024 booth and was the standout of the reveals and it has been a long time coming for Skeletor’s evil kitty to be making his way into plastic! Now let’s take a closer look at the Panthor New Eternia Masterverse package and hi-res art reveal!

Dire panthers are the alpha predators of Eternia’s Dark Hemisphere. So it was a boon to Skeletor when he found a stray cub. He raised the cub to be his loyal pet, nurtured with Havoc Magic, and transformed it into his savage steed, Panthor. This savage cat goes up for preorder February 11th, 2025 at 9 AM PT/12 PM ET on @mattelcreations

The front of the box has a stunning portrait of Panthor in a Eternia jungle like scene. It looks like the Snake Lair entrance off to the left. The back side of the box features a scene in what looks like the instead of Snake Mountain with Panthor going up against Mekaneck, and Skeletor standing there watching the battle.

We get to see what the interior of the package looks like. There is a white on black sketch of Panthor on the inside of the cover of box. Then once you open the box, you see a beautiful piece of art with Skeletor riding on Panthor. Once you lift that off, you reveal Skeletor’s trusted steed inside! Mattel did an incredible job with the packaging on this.
Below we can see a hi-res close up version of the interior box art. You get a much better view of the Snake lair in the back ground. And if you look carefully, there looks to be a prehistoric version of Turbodactyl flying in the background.
Preorder Info & Official Images
Revealed at San Diego Comic Con 2024, New Eternia Masterverse Panthor will be going up for preorder (or purchase) on February 11, 2025, on the Mattel Creations website! Mattel released their preorder page and official images!
UPDATE: February 6th, 2025, Official Images revealed
Today, the Mattel Creations site was official launched and included official images of the New Eternia Panthor! So let’s take a look at this large purple beast of a steed! The artwork on the box makes it worth buying just for that! One side features a nice portrait of classic Panthor. The other side features armored up Panthor along side with Skeletor going up against Mekaneck.
Look at those huge fangs in his mouth and that giant paw print! This Panthor looks amazing! He has a bit of a shinny purple finish, but he looks incredible. Now it makes me want a new Mastervese version of Battlecat! You can armor him all up with face armor and feet armor with Skeletor riding on his saddle. Panthor even includes that cool spear that Skeletor is holding. And you can holster the spear on his saddle.
Panthor looks great even with his armor totally removed! You can see by the cool action shot below that he is fully articulated and can be posed in alot of cool moves!
He even comes with a cool background that you can use to display on your shelf!

New Eternia Panthor
Panthor was revealed in the Mattel Creations portion of the booth and was the standout of the reveals as he features a premium paint app and design. Reusing Battle Cat’s buck as the base for the figure, he features very detailed armor and a helmet fitting for Skeletor’s beast.
Panthor can also carry weapons as we can see a spear packed on the left side. On the other side, according to the Mattel designers in the booth, can carry Skeletor’s Havoc Staff. We did not get to see Panthor without his helmet but we were told that his eyes have crystals in them to reflect light.
Panthor’s saddle is super detailed and features more of a leather look in the middle with a high front/back saddle. The saddle also has stirrups as Panthor has been given the New Eternia royal treatment.
We did see Panthor on the Skeletor Bone Throne box, which could have eluded to his eventual release.
