Ramen Toy Tiger Orange 2.0 Blows Through Another Goal as New Unlock Is Teased
Ramen Toy’s Tiger Orange 2.0 continues to gain momentum, with the 1/12 scale General Lee-inspired vehicle surpassing another sales milestone and unlocking its third production upgrade. With 1,249 orders recorded as of the penning of this update, all three previously announced improvements are now included in the production run, and Ramen Toy founder Ace is already teasing additional surprises.
I’ve been following this project closely, and for good reason. I absolutely loved The Dukes of Hazzard growing up, and the General Lee remains one of the most recognizable television vehicles from my childhood. We’ve covered the original Tiger Orange 2.0 reveal and the subsequent preorder launch alongside the Good Ol’ Boys figures, but what makes this latest development particularly interesting is how Ace is approaching the release.
The Tiger Orange 2.0 is being sold through Ramen Toy’s website, with additional product improvements unlocked as orders reach specific milestones. Rather than offering exclusive rewards to individual customers, the upgrades become part of every vehicle produced. This is cool and love seeing how different retailers approach product design and sales! It’s an interesting approach, especially when you consider how much additional tooling can cost. And with another announcement scheduled for October 28, Ace apparently isn’t finished.
Three Production Upgrades Now Unlocked
The first milestone, reached at 500 orders, introduced newly tooled exhaust pipes designed to better replicate the General Lee’s original configuration. It’s a relatively small detail, but one that matters when you’re trying to capture the appearance of a specific television vehicle. The revised pipes extend beneath the rear bumper, matching the placement of the exhaust outlets on the original car. The comparison also highlights the Charger’s distinctive full-width rear panel, rectangular taillights, chrome bumper, and rear-mounted antenna. Most importantly, these newly tooled exhaust pipes will be included with every Tiger Orange 2.0, regardless of when the order was placed.

The second milestone, achieved at 800 orders, introduced newly tooled 1969-style front seats. The General Lee’s tan interior is another recognizable element of the original car, and the revised seats feature more accurate proportions, including the seatbacks, cushions, and stitched upholstery panels. The comparison highlights the distinctive shape of the original seats, including the separate center console. For collectors planning to display their Tiger Orange with the doors open or with Bo and Luke seated inside, these are the kinds of details that make a difference. Like the other unlocked improvements, the revised seats will be included in every production vehicle.

Newly Tooled Wheels and 1969 Front Seats
The latest milestone, reached at 1,200 orders, unlocks newly tooled wheels with smaller BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires modeled after the 225/70/R15 size. Getting the wheel and tire proportions right makes a noticeable difference on a vehicle like the General Lee, where the stance is such a recognizable part of its appearance. The revised wheels retain their black centers and silver accents, while the tires feature BFGoodrich branding along the sidewalls. This is arguably one of the more significant improvements because it affects the vehicle’s overall profile, particularly when displayed alongside 1/12 scale action figures. With the milestone achieved, every Tiger Orange 2.0 will receive the newly tooled wheels and tires.

Ace Teases New Tiers During October 28 Livestream
With all three original milestones achieved, Ace is preparing to reveal what’s next for the Tiger Orange 2.0. He’s scheduled a special livestream for Wednesday, October 28, at 7 PM Eastern / 4 PM Pacific, promising new updates and additional unlockable tiers. The announcement features Ace alongside the orange Charger and figures representing Bo and Luke Duke, reinforcing the vehicle’s connection to the classic television series. The timing is especially interesting because the current early-bird promotion ends October 31, just three days after the livestream. We don’t yet know what additional upgrades Ace has planned, but with the project already surpassing 1,200 orders, it’ll be interesting to see what he has in store for collectors.

Why I Appreciate Ace’s Approach
I’ve had the opportunity to meet Ace several times over the years, and one of my favorite memories was hanging out with him and his business partner at New York Comic Con in 2025.
Ace is a genuinely cool guy, but what I’ve always appreciated most is his transparency. In fact, he’s probably the most transparent person I’ve encountered in the toy industry. He regularly brings collectors along throughout the development process, sharing progress, discussing decisions, and giving people an opportunity to understand what’s happening behind the scenes.
This latest approach to the Tiger Orange 2.0 is another example.
Rather than simply announcing a finished product and waiting for orders to come in, Ace has made the development process something collectors can follow. As sales milestones are achieved, he’s investing in additional tooling to improve the vehicle, and everyone who orders benefits from those changes.
Of course, this isn’t crowdfunding in the traditional sense. Collectors are placing preorders directly with Ramen Toy, and the additional upgrades depend on the project reaching specific sales milestones. But there’s something fun about watching a product improve as more collectors get involved. And considering how much I loved The Dukes of Hazzard growing up, seeing this particular vehicle receive that level of attention is especially fun.
Where to Buy Ramen Toy Tiger Orange 2.0
The Tiger Orange 2.0 is available for preorder directly through Ramen Toy. The vehicle is currently advertised at an early-bird price of $200, with the promotional period scheduled to end October 31, 2026. The regular listed price is $250. Collectors who have already ordered will receive all three unlocked improvements, including the newly tooled exhaust pipes, 1969-style front seats, and smaller BFGoodrich wheels and tires. With 1,249 orders recorded as of this writing and additional tiers being teased for October 28, there’s still more to come from this project. I’ll certainly be tuning in to see what Ace has planned next.
