The Real Ghostbusters Kenner Classics Ecto-Glow Ecto-1 Full Packaging Reveal

I ain’t afraid of no ghost! Huge thanks to @harrymooredesign on Instagram for posting these images giving us our first full look at the packaging and sticker sheet for the upcoming Kenner Classics The Real Ghostbusters Ecto-Glow Ecto-1 from Hasbro! Boy are we thrilled to see this one coming together. The Kenner Classics line has been doing such an amazing job paying tribute to the original Real Ghostbusters toy line that so many of us grew up with, and seeing that iconic Ecto-1 in its Ecto-Glow deco with that classic card art style packaging just hits different. I always loved the Ecto-Glow sub-line as a kid, there was something so fun about those glow in the dark features, and now getting a fresh version on modern shelves is super exciting. And that sticker sheet! Real Ghostbusters vehicles always came with the best sticker sheets and this one looks like it carries on that tradition perfectly. So let’s take a look at The Real Ghostbusters Kenner Classics Ecto-Glow Ecto-1 full packaging reveal!
The box art features a vibrant, cartoon-style illustration of the Ecto-1 covered in colorful slime splatters of pink, purple, and blue, with Egon manning a rooftop weapon while Peter and Winston ride along. A glow-in-the-dark ectoplasmic yellow energy radiates around the vehicle, and a slime ghost lurches from the left side of the artwork, captured mid-escape with a ghost trap.
The back of the box uses a deep purple background with blue photo panels showcasing the Ecto-1 from multiple angles, including a side profile highlighting the cream and green stripe deco along with the pink fin details and rooftop gear. One panel shows the rear doors open with a ghost figure launching out, and a small inset photo demonstrates the glow-in-the-dark feature in action.
The front of the box gives a closer look at the lower-left portion of the artwork, where the slime ghost is mid-escape from the ghost trap, connected by a thin black cord. Egon is perched atop the Ecto-1 with a weapon aimed forward, while Peter holds what appears to be a handheld device near the passenger side.
The artwork zooms in on the front end of the Ecto-1, where Winston grips the steering wheel with a startled expression, his blue shirt contrasting against the cream-colored body of the vehicle. Splashes of pink and blue slime decorate the hood and fender area, with green racing stripes running along the center of the hood.
The included sticker sheet comes loaded with colorful decals, including three classic no-ghost logos in different sizes, splatter effects in pink, blue, purple, and yellow, and dripping slime strips in yellow and blue. I like the Slimer decal on the right, which shows him mouth open with a yellow energy glow around his body, printed on what looks like a curved panel designed to wrap around part of the vehicle.

Huge thanks to @ghostbustersnews for sharing a closer look at the packaging and sticker sheet for The Real Ghostbusters Kenner Classics Ecto-Glow Ecto-1! I always loved the Ecto-Glow sub-line from the original Kenner run. There was something so fun about that glow-in-the-dark feature that made playtime feel extra spooky, and now collectors get to experience it all over again. The included sticker sheet looks really cool too, complete with no-ghost logos, a glowing ghost for the back window, and plenty of colorful slime decals to dress up the vehicle however you like. How fun is that?! The Ecto-Glow Ecto-1 is expected to ship next month via Hasbro Pulse, so the wait is almost over for Ghostbusters fans who have been eyeing this one.
The box art features a lively illustrated scene of the Ghostbusters crew riding in the Ecto-1, with Slimer clinging to the front and colorful slime splashes across the vehicle. The back of the packaging shows the vehicle from multiple angles along with photos of the included accessories. The Ecto-Glow Ecto-1 itself sits alongside its accessories, which include a small glow-in-the-dark ghost figure, a sticker sheet covered in no-ghost logos and slime decals, and what appears to be a dark ghost trap accessory. I like how the vehicle keeps the classic white and green stripe deco while adding pink and orange fin details on the rear, giving it that distinctly animated look from the cartoon.
