The Star Wars team held a FanStream with new figure reveals coming to the Star Wars Collection spanning Black Series, Vintage, and Retro Collection! In this post we are covering all of the lines, which include the Black Series, Vintage and Retro Collection so let’s dive in.
Star Wars Black Series
Continuing the celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Return of the Jedi comes one convention exclusive and a very cool deluxe figure (or is it two figures???)! Also revealed were a figure from Attack of Clones and The Clone Wars!
Revenge of the Jedi Darth Vader Celebration Exclusive
This version of Darth Vader comes from a poster that was originally used to promote the movie, then called Revenge of the Jedi. We all know how this ends as the title was changed to Return of the Jedi. This version of Darth Vader used the tampo technique that you see on the poster to mimic the look of the hemet to the rest of the figure. The texture from the poster was also used as inspiration for the cape and applied the same technique to the lightsaber. The figure itself is cast in a very dark red and is a unique looking figure.
For the packaging, they included a poster in the pack so you can pull out the poster to reveal the figure. The box also has a secret display stand so you can display the poster.

Deluxe Endor Rebel Commando
This was one figure the team was clamoring to get to fans! He comes with his short and long blasters, a removable backpack, removable bandolier, and a swappable face so you can give him a young or old look!

Scout Trooper Black Series Electronic Helmet
With a character that remains relevant today as he shows up in the current Mandalorian series on Disney+ is the Scout Trooper! This helmet has a voice changer, soft pads on the inside and one of the coolest parts of the hemet is the ability for it to hinge up, revealing your own face! This is the first helmet from Return of the Jedi for the Black Series so you can see the nice green stripe on the box!

Ki Adi Mundi
He is a newly tooled Jedi Master figure and he comes with his lightsaber and you can clip his lightsaber hilt to his belt. He has a flexible PVC outfit for greater poseability and he sits great with all the Jedi Masters in the past. The packaging was not revealed as this figure was far out but it’s cool to see the figure nonetheless.

Clone Commander Jesse
This clone is a commander and a role in the Season finale of the Clone Wars with a direct confrontation with Ahsoka herself. This is a redeco of the ARC Trooper and uses the bald headed clone. The blue color is consistent with the ARC Troopers in the Black Series and the Vintage Collection. He comes with a removable helmet and two blasters. The packaging is a direct reference to Clone Wars Season 7 on the side of the box and the back.

Star Wars Vintage Collection
The team revealed a gaggle of figures from The Expanded Universe, The Bad Batch, Return of the Jedi, and the Clone Wars.
Starkiller
This figure is a refresh from the Expanded Universe and from Star Wars gaming is VC100 Starkiller! As seen in Star Wars the Force Unleashed, he comes with two light sabers and peices to build out his look for his second costume variant. The packaging is the same as the original release.

Clone Captain Howzer
This is a refresh item from The Bad Batch and his name, originally was Clone Captain Ballast, and between production of the figure and the animated series, it was changed to Clone Captain Howzer. There are weathering and shipping detail and he also comes with a unique hair and head sculpt.

Weequay
This is a package refresh and he comes with his staff and blaster and the cardback matches his original release.

Admiral Piett
This was a character who received the most unconventional promotion in the Empire Strikes Back as Darth Vader force chocked his predecessor, leaving Piett with the new promoted title of Admiral! This is the first character to be made with the new officer body and one of the details they wanted to tackle with this was his rank badge. In The Empire Strikes Back, he had the full 12 tile insignia rank (6 over 6) but, however, when Return of the Jedi was filming, they had a wardrobe snafu and he was wearing his 6 tile rank insignia (3 over 3) so they wanted to commemorate that! They honored the quirky costume detail with his demotion in this figure. He has barbell hips, rocker ankles, and a flexible skirt. His hat is also removable, which is a cool surprise!

Han Solo
This figure will go very nicely with the Endor playset and is a partial new tooling from the waste up with new torso, sleeves, vest, and portrait. The Hasbro team was very proud of the portrait and the figure looks amazing!

Darth Vader (Death Star 2)
This version of the Darth Vader commemorates his redemption as Anakin Skywalker lifts his helmet to view Luke with his own eyes. This Darth Vader is chalked full of details and he comes with a 3 part helmet, which was a difficult to manufacture back in the day. With digital sculpture advancements, the helmet comes apart in layers and you can remove the top helm to under the faceplate with copper detail, and you can finally remove his faceplate to reveal his portrait underneath. He also has a slashed wrist and a complete hand so you can change up your display of the figure.

Phase II Clone Trooper
A trooper massed produced on Kamino, they were able to make the proportions more realistic by basing the design from the live action Andor series. He comes with a removable helmet with the Clone portrait. He comes with his small and larger blaster and comes carded on the Andor cardback.

212th Battalion Clone Trooper 4-Pack
Now that the team has redone the Clone Trooper body, they wanted to redeco it and this brings us to the 212th Battalion Clone Trooper 4-Pack, one of my personal favorite Clone Trooper armors! They also created a Clone that is a higher rank for the pack and that is none other than Lieutenant Waxer. Waxer’s story is reflected on his armor in a great way, for example, you can see the insignia of the little Twilit girl that he rescued plus you can also see the tick marks on his helmet and shoulders. The 4 pack comes in the classic Trooper Builder pack and will be a Hasbro Pulse and Shop Disney exclusive.

Star Wars Retro Collection
There was one reveal for the Retro Collection and this was from The Mandalorian Series!
Prototype Mandalorian
This is The Mandalorian himself, in prototype edition, and will come with 6 different variants in red, yellow, green, blue, purple, and orange. This figure is unique as each figure will come with the green cape and the blasters are cast in the classic Kenner blue. The packaging has the foil background with a pop art inspired look.

That was a lot for all three lines and you can check out the press release.
