Super7 Teases ThunderCats Ultimates Lunataks’ Chilla
Super7 teases ThunderCats Ultimates Chilla! Who else from the Lunataks are next?
Super7 is coming out swinging as it is San Diego Comic Con season and they have some really big things coming for the ThunderCats Ultimates line. They first brought out the big guns first with the Cat’s Lair tease that is looking more like a reality. In fact, our very own @toysorceress, who is an architect IRL, estimated the Cat’s Lair’s dimensions and this thing is massive! Super7 then followed up with a post showing off an amazing tease of Chilla, who is one of six Lunataks. She is the second Lunatak to come to the line as Alluro is part of Wave 8 and it’s unclear whether Chilla will be an exclusive or part of an upcoming wave but it’s amazing to see more Lunataks comes to the line.
Lunataks
The Lunataks a group of evil beings from the various Moons of Plun-Darr. They came to Third Earth long before either the ThunderCats or the Mutants. When they tried to take control of the planet, Mumm-Ra encased them in molten lava on Dark Side. According to ThunderCats Wiki, “When they came to Third Earth, they tried to overthrow Mumm-Ra, but he defeated them and encased them in molten lava in the forbidden territories of Dark Side. After Mumm-Ra’s near defeat at Fire Rock Mountain and 3 new Thundercats (Ben-Gali, Lynx-O and Pumyra) on the horizon, he had Ma-Mutt pose as him and order the Mutants to release the Lunataks. Because the Lunataks don’t work together as well as the Thundercats do, the Thundercats are able to easily defeat them. The Lunataks for awhile after being freed from molten lava would stay in their flying building “Sky-Tomb”. Much like the the Mutants, they’d scheme and current out plots with Mumm-Ra and even the Mutants. Ultimately, the Lunataks are all captured by Captain Bragg, and end up at Way Outback.
There are plenty of amazing customs to draw inspiration from so we can imagine future Super7 ThunderCats Ultimates Lunataks and with Alluro being the first in the line, we are hopeful that they will bring all six to the line.
Chilla
Chilla is considered headstrong and not easy to command. She would jump at the chance to overthrow Luna and take control of the Lunataks altogether.
According to the Thundercats Wiki:
Chilla has command over cold and heat by the power of her expelled breath, blowing to freeze the air around a target in seconds to immobilize them, or heating it through her optical heat beams to incite flames to burn them. She has little regard for life and sometimes uses her powers willfully out of spite. Her one major weakness is rock salt, known for its ability to melt ice. Out of all the Lunataks, Chilla is the most humanoid. A loner of the group, Chilla oftentimes bosses the Mutants around to help her attempt to defeat the ThunderCats and take all the glory for herself.

Tug Mug
Tug Mug is a Lunatak from the first moon of Plun-Darr, which has a strong gravitional force. Because his home has a strong gravity, Tug Mug proves to be extremely powerful in the lesser gravity of Third Earth.
According to the Thundercats Wiki:
Tug Mug is a merciless and formidable adversary, he can use his tripod “legs” to leap great distances, and his strength is so impressive that he once snapped the blade of the Sword of Omens with his bare hands. Combative by nature, Tug Mug uses his gravity carbine in battle, whose beams can make a living being or object as light as air or heavy as stone.

Luna
Luna is a diminutive sorceress, now the leader and chief strategist of the Lunataks. Because of her small form, she is carried around and cared for by Amok, her servant.
According to the Thundercats Wiki:
Cruel and caustic, Luna commands the Lunataks by birthright. Evil and cruel, Luna’s ability to devise inventive and sometimes detailed schemes is hampered only by the ambitions of her fellow Lunataks, and the dissention that is bread within the ranks by her authoritative style of leadership.

Amok
Amok is Luna’s loyal servant and bodyguard, also her chief mode of transportation.
According to the Thundercats Wiki:
Amok’s a hulking, quadrupedal brute who seems to be a cross of bulldog and demon, and having very limited capacity for vocalization. Amok is strong and fast but also displays enough cunning to exact revenge against Luna for abandoning him when she recovers Queen Luna’s magical belt . He also has an innate weakness for candy, and will abandon Luna in an instant if it means getting to eat it.

Alluro
Alluro brought us the first Lunataks, and is the first time we are getting him as an action figure. He was never part of the vintage LJN toy line, so it will be cool to finally get him included in this line. Allurois also based on his appearance on the cartoon series and looks very animated, but very menacing. He comes with a psych club, 2 cool looking orbs, a paper map, an Egora Taliman, a treasure chest, interchangeable hands and 2 interchangeable heads.

Alluro is one of the members of the evil Lunataks of the Moons of Plun-Darr. A towering figure with a sinister yet soft voice, Alluro is the Lunataks resident master of mind control, making him one of the most difficult foes that the ThunderCats have faced. Hailing from the Moons of Plun-Darr, Alluro was imprisoned in molten lava with the other Lunataks by Mumm-Ra. Later on he was freed by the Mutants under Mumm-Ra’s orders. He lives with the other Lunataks in their mobile fortress Sky-Tomb on DarkSide.
