Zodac Masterverse Masters of the Universe Review and Classics Comparison
We got our hands on New Eternia Zodac from the Masterverse line and wanted to share it with you all so please enjoy the photos! If you remember, according to our friends, @canaldosrosmineiros, who broke the news of Zodac, Galactic Protector He-Man, and Two-Bad joining the Masterverse, we finally have our hands on the New Eternia Cosmic Enforcer. Well today is the day we have a hands on look at the brand new Zodac Masterverse figure!
Box and Art
Package Front
With the new Masterverse figures coming out, you can see the 40th Anniversary sticker in the upper left corner and the beautiful, bold, and New Eternia logo.
Side Art and Back Box Art
The Cosmic Enforcer looks stunning as he is set off with a golden glow on the side of the box as he is carrying his staff! The color tones are ver muted, giving him and ominous and mysterious look. On the back of the box you can see Zodac in pursuit with his classic blaster. Is he on Eternia or another planet in the Universe?
Official Illustrations
Thanks to yo_tengo_el_poder for posting the official illustrations of Zodac so you can see how they compare to the final renders of the art that is found on the box. These amazing illustrations were done by the talented Nate Baertsch and here is what he had to say about them:
“As people are finally getting these in hand, I can now show the artwork I got to do for Zodac and Catra! I always love working with @manuel_eduardo_caritas on these for @masters and @mattel . Zodac was always one of my favorites as a kid, he brought that alien edge into MotU along with some serious Jack Kirby influence. This New Eternia version of him adds even more fun!”

Zodac Figure
New Eternia Look
Like Catra in this wave, the official images are a little misleading as it the finishes on armor appeared to have a glossy finish to them but the figure, in actuality, has more of a matte finish. To achieve the New Eternia look, he has extra shoulder armor, which is removable, a thigh holster, and a large staff that splits into two that can be stowed in his back armor! Like the NE Beast Man, he also features an extra plastic loin cloth piece that is dark gray with a red border.
Classic Look
With the removable of the shoulder pads, you can quickly change Zodac into his classic look! For a true conversion to his Classics look, see below as the holster is removeable
Weapons and Accessories
Zodac comes with his traditional red gun and a staff that comes apart in the middle so you can either display it as one single piece or two separate weapons.
MOTU Classics Comparison
Although the Masterverse Zodac has his New Eternia look, he can also be transformed into his classic (or Classics) look as Mattel has made these parts removable (except for that pesky layer on his loin cloth like the New Eternia Beast Man).
UPC and Where to Buy
We have provided the UPC code so you can scan this using the Target or Walmart app to check in store stock status or check to see if he is available to purchase online. We bought this figure from the Paulmart Store, a seller based in Southern California who is well stocked with the latest figures and is a very nice guy!
Zodac can be purchased, along with the other figures from Wave 5, at the following retailers so please check the stock status as this varies and is unpredictable.
