Boy and Bot 2-Pack MAKINA Images by Ramen Toy
Ramen Toy has shared new and improved images of their upcoming Boy and Bot 2-Pack, giving collectors a much cleaner look at the set ahead of its preorder launch, and if you caught our coverage of Ramen Toy’s JoeFest 2026 booth you already know this company has been turning heads with their output lately. This 2-pack, titled MAKINA, features a pair of figures that lean into that signature Ramen Toy aesthetic, blending stylized character design with solid articulation and these updated images look awesome. The new images do a great job of showing off the sculpt work and paint applications on both figures, and I love how the color palette ties the two characters together while still giving each one a distinct identity. Ramen Toy has been building momentum with every reveal, and this set looks like another strong entry in what’s becoming a genuinely interesting independent toy line. The fact that they’re putting out these kinds of visuals before preorders even go live tells you they’re confident in the product, and based on what we’re seeing here, that confidence looks well placed. I’m curious to see how pricing and availability shake out once preorders open, because releases from smaller companies like this tend to move fast when the quality is visible from the jump. Keep your eyes on this one.
Boy and Bot 2-Pack Images
The images here shows the scale with the Mads Hawking figure in the suit that comes with the Gullwing 2.0. The round-bodied Bot with its white dome head and yellow eyes, and the smaller Boy in a teal shirt with a yellow stripe look awsome and they are much smaller than Mads. The scale difference between the adult and the Boy reads well, with Bot sitting nicely between them in height.
Bot’s compact, egg-shaped body has a clean white and gray color scheme, with a pink rectangular mouth panel set just below the black visor band and those round yellow eyes. Gray arms flank each side, and the single front wheel gives the little robot a fun, monocycle-style lower half.
From the front, Bot’s visor band has three small vertical slits sculpted into the right side, adding a nice asymmetrical touch to the otherwise rounded head. The single wheel at the base and the tucked-in white feet give the whole design a chunky, self-contained proportionality.
Bot’s head dome is flipped open here, revealing a recessed cavity and what could be inside? That’s a fun little detail tucked into the sculpt.
The Bot features a dish-shaped radar antenna mounted on a conical peg atop her head, with concentric rings sculpted into the disc. With the arms extended. the body carries a similar white and gray palette to Bot, but the proportions are taller and more humanoid, with pointed gray forearm details and segmented legs.
The Boy fits snugly onto Bot’s back, his teal shirt and orange hair contrasting against the robot’s white dome. Bot’s small gray wing-like shoulder details and compact front wheel give the pair a rideable-mech look that works surprisingly well together.
You can see how the boy fits nicely on the Bot and the Boy’s orange hair has a simple, swept sculpt with clean separation from the skin tone at the neckline. Bot’s black visor band wraps cleanly around the dome from this side profile, with a small circular port detail on the body just below.
