Showcased in Mattel’s Spring 2026 catalog was the introduction of two brand-new figures in the Sketch Book Series: Mark Taylor He-Man and Mark Taylor Man-E-Faces. These figures look to continue celebrating the artistic legacy and raw creativity behind the Masters of the Universe line, drawing directly from the conceptual sketches that shaped Eternia’s earliest heroes and villains. Today, Roy Juarez dropped the Mark Taylor Man E Faces Sketch Book Series package reveal with art by @fetch.franciscoetchart. Mattel’s 2026 lineup is shaping up to be an absolute treat for fans who love both the nostalgia and the behind-the-scenes artistry of MOTU. So let’s check out the Mark Taylor Man E Faces MOTU Origins Sketch Book Series official hi-res package reveal!

A look at the incredible sketches that surround the packaging.

Checking out the front and rear of the packaging, we can see Man E Faces in his window box display. Please a ton of cool sketches of Man E Faces all over the box. The rear of the package features the Mark Taylor Man E Faces MOTU Origins Sketch Book Series Man E Faces character with a greenish grey skin tone and his concept style golden gear. There looks to be some sort of tentacled creature below him and a space ship with what looks like Man E Faces in Eternian space in the background.

Here we get a better view of the angled views of the packaging.

Here we get a better view the sides of the packaging and that incredible artwork! I love the classic sketches of Man E Faces on the right side and then concept art on the left!

Man-E-Faces is shown mid stride with a wide, grounded stance, gripping his mace as his bulky armor frames the rotating head with the robotic face locked forward and those purple eyes staring through the mask. I really like how the sculpted musculature is exaggerated here, with thick arms and legs flexed as he moves forward, while the gold armor, belt, and helmet pop hard against the darker skin tone. The illustration also gives a clear look at the alternate faces through reflections and angles, and it feels like he is pushing through the chaos as the pose drives all the attention back to the figure itself.

I’m really drawn to the tighter framing here, where the gold helmet fills the space and lets you study the different faces more clearly. The armored mace gets extra attention too, with its rounded head and thick handle angled forward, while the free hand is stretched out with fingers splayed, adding tension to the pose. I like how the rotation of the head is implied through the overlapping portraits, giving the sense that the figure is actively switching personas mid movement.

I love how this panel shifts into a sketch heavy layout that shows multiple versions of the figure in motion, with different heads rotating through expressions while the body stays consistent and powerful. The robed look gets more attention here, with the layered fabric flowing off the shoulders and the colored striping breaking up the darker tunic as one hand reaches forward and the other keeps the mace upright. You can see the core armor shapes, helmet profile, and facial variations explored from several angles, and it feels like the figure is being actively studied while still charging into the scene.

Man-E-Faces
Man-E-Faces sports a highly stylized, angular design with bold pastel stripes running down his torso and legs, a gold head piece framing his rotating faceplate, and comes with a matching gold staff.
