UPDATE 09/02/22: Mystery Solved, Skeletor Deluxe is Movie Skeletor!

So after all that buzz about the the mystery Deluxe Masterverse Skeletor listing that appeared for preorder on the BBTS website, it appears now that those preorders are now showing the Masters of the Universe The Motion Picture version of Skeletor. During this week’s MOTUesday event, a new Movie version of Skeletor and He-Man were revealed. We a few days after that event, we now noticed that the MOTU placeholder image on our Deluxe Masterverse Skeletor has now changed to an image of the Movie Skeletor.

The odd thing is that when you click on the link. it takes to a “Page Not Found”, and it seems that the Amazon listings for both Movie He-Man and Skeletor are both taken down as well. So are they revising the figures? Were they listed too early? Why were they taken down? As soon as we find out any further information, we will let you know.

So the internet is a buzz about the mystery Deluxe Masterverse Skeletor listing that appeared for preorder on the BBTS website (along with the Masters of the Universe Wave 10 figures). The listing showed up on 8/26/2022 and was called, “Masters of the Universe Masterverse Deluxe Skeletor” and until photos are released, we can play a guessing game. Could this be the first figure in the upcoming Masters of the Universe Revolution figure line? This figure is also listed on Amazon so be sure to keep track of it as it can go up for preorder anytime.

The ending of the Masters of the Universe Netflix Season 1 left a huge cliffhanger and an opening for another season and today Netlfix officially confirmed Season 2! We got some indications over the last couple months that this could be a possibility with the latest coming from the yo_tengo_el_poder IG account as he posted, “Y mañana… ¡noticias!” which translates to “And tomorrow… news!” We were thinking that this will be the announcement of the return of the Masters of the Universe Revelation series to Netflix and we were right, but this was not a difficult guess! And now we know Masters of the Universe Revolution Netflix Season 2 has been officially confirmed and dubbed ‘Revolution‘!

First Figure in the Revolution Line?

Going as far back as April, 29. 2022, Mark Hammill gave us a clue as to what might be coming as he tweeted with a Friday and Saturday to-do list that reads:

“Voice this guy all day” along with an image of Skeletor and of him in the recording studio and more text for his Saturday to-do list which was, “Rest my voice all day.”

Masters of the Universe: Revelation – Mark Hamill Confirms Season 2?

Masters of the Universe Revolution was confired back in June 2022 and none other than Yo Tengo El Poder instagram page confirmed it! He wrote in Instagram:

“Segunda temporada de Masters of the Universe. Después de la Revelación… ¡La Revolución!” This translated into English means “Second season of Masters of the Universe. After the Revelation… The Revolution!”

Looking back at how the Masters of the Universe Revelation figures were introduced, they came out before the release of the first episode so they were more like spoilers so can we expect the same from Revolution? Only time will tell but here is the info we’ve gathered on the latest installment of the next Masters of the Universe Revolution series to wet your appetite!

According to Deadline.com, they also confirm that:

Masters of the Universe: Revelation, Kevin Smith’s successor to the cult 1983–1985 animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, is getting a second season. At its Geeked Week event Wednesday, Netflix announced the followup installment of the animated series, Masters of the Universe: Revolution, from Mattel Television and Powerhouse Animation.

Masters of the Universe: Revolution is described as the next epic chapter in the battle for Eternia. It is a standalone story that takes place after the events in Revelation. Masters of the Universe: Revolution is an all-new story that brings the focus to He-Man vs. Skeletor “like you’ve never seen them before,” per Netflix. It’s technology versus magic as He-Man and the heroic warriors face the forces of Skeletor and a deadly threat to the Planet.

No cast is being announced yet. Mark Hamill, who voiced Skeletor in Revelation, already teased his involvement in Season 2. Chris Wood voices He-Man. Smith executive produces with Rob David, Ted Biaselli, Christopher Keenan and Frederic Soulie. Mattel Television is producing, with Powerhouse Animation as the animation studio.

40th Anniversary Deluxe Skeletor?

Could this be a Masterverse Deluxe 40th Anniversary figure? This is highly unlikely but we are throwing it out there! If you remember, the MOTUesday news drop featured a very curios stop motion animation featuring a stripped down Revelation Skeletor and the standard release of the 40th Anniversary He-Man. We think we are going to see what happens on the on the side of that portal and Skeletor knew he wasn’t going to do anything to He-man with his wimpy punch and he was baiting him to follow back through the portal. He’s going to transform from his Revelation version into his classic 40th Anniversary version (we have yet to see) and kick that living daylights out of He-Man. We think they used the Revelation Skeletor in this video because it would have been too confusing if they used the 40th Anniversary SDCC version and it would have looked like a promo for that set so they had to do something different. You can clearly see that this was the standard retail release of Anniversary He-Man, but Skeletor is Revelation version with some armor changes and he lost his cape. What will happen next? Only time will tell!
