Two of Spider-Man’s most iconic adversaries are heading to the Marvel Legends Retro Collection, and both are now up for preorder over at BigBadToyStore and Entertainment Earth. First up is Marvel’s Lizard, the tragic transformation of geneticist Curt Connors, rendered here as a 6-inch scale figure with the kind of classic retro styling that makes this line so appealing to collectors who grew up on the animated series and the comics that defined these characters. Alongside him is Venom, the monstrous symbiote-bonded Eddie Brock who has been a cornerstone of Spider-Man’s rogues gallery since the late ’80s, and seeing him get the Retro Collection treatment with that vintage-style cardback packaging feels like exactly the kind of release this line was built for. Both figures are priced at $34.99 each, with the Lizard slated to ship in the fourth quarter of 2026 and Venom following in December 2026. I love how Hasbro keeps dipping into the deep well of Spidey villains for this Retro Collection, because pairing a cerebral threat like the Lizard with a raw powerhouse like Venom gives collectors two very different corners of that universe to display side by side. We’re still waiting on in-hand looks and full accessory breakdowns, but the promise of premium detail and solid articulation across both figures has me keeping a close eye on these as more details surface. The retro-style card packaging features a colorful illustrated cityscape and a comic-accurate drawing of the Lizard in the corner, with the figure and accessories displayed in the blister alongside the segmented tail. A pair of alternate fisted hands and the open-mouthed alternate head sit beside the figure, rounding out the accessory spread.
The Lizard cuts an imposing figure in his white lab coat over a black shirt, with purple pants shredding at the calves where his green, scaled reptilian feet burst through. He’s gripping a beaker, and his long segmented tail curls along the ground behind him.
The green scaled skin has a deeply sculpted tile-like texture across the head and hands, with individual rows of ridges running down each finger and across the knuckles. That beaker is a nice touch, reinforcing the Curt Connors side of the character.
The alternate head sculpt swaps in a wider, more aggressive expression with the pink tongue fully extended and teeth bared. His splayed, clawed hands have a nice spread to the fingers, with the scale texture carrying all the way down to the rounded pads on each fingertip.
The lab coat has a clean sculpted collar and lapels, with the coat draping open to show the black shirt underneath. His tail peeks out from behind, and the scale texture on his hands contrasts nicely against the smooth white sleeves of the coat.
The open-mouthed head sculpt shows off the ridged brow and the sculpted scale pattern wrapping around the jawline and across the top of the skull. Beneath the lab coat, the black shirt has a subtle textured weave sculpted into the surface, and the purple pants sit cleanly at the waist with a simple belt line.

Venom fills out a massive frame, with the white spider emblem stretching across his chest and tapering down toward the waist. Red and blue accents streak across the black symbiote surface on the arms, legs, and torso, giving the whole figure a comic book shading effect that really sells the retro aesthetic.
The grinning head sculpt features large white eye patches and rows of individually sculpted teeth with pink gums filling that signature maw. Blue and red accent lines continue across the head and shoulders, reinforcing that ink-and-color comic shading effect throughout.
Venom’s clawed hands have sharp, individually sculpted fingers with deep grooves between each knuckle joint. The white spider emblem wraps around from the chest to the back, with the legs of the spider tapering to fine points across his shoulders.
Close up, the blue and red accent lines on the torso read like hand-inked shadow lines straight off a comic page, with the streaks tracing along the contours of the chest and wrapping around the shoulders. Those clawed fingers have a nice weight to them, thick and slightly curled with sharp tapered tips.
The tongue on this alternate head sculpt is a thick, forked piece that curls down past the chin, with the pink gums and individually sculpted teeth matching the other head. The white spider emblem’s chest detail is clear here, with the fine lined pattern inside the white areas adding a layered texture to the symbol.
Venom’s retro-style card packaging uses a purple cityscape illustration behind the blister, with a classic comic rendering of the character crouching in the lower corner. The alternate head and pair of hands are arranged beside the figure in the blister, and the card art nails that ’90s animated series feel.
