MOTU Chronicles 2027 Wave 1 In-Package Images on eBay

Well, that didn’t take long! Mattel’s Masters of the Universe Chronicles 2027 Wave 1 figures have already started turning up on eBay, and our favorite seller, WSI, has Clawful, Mekaneck, and Flight Armor He-Man listed as in stock and ready to buy. Of course, getting these figures early comes at a premium, so you’ll have to decide just how badly you want them. We first saw this wave at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, and preorders officially opened on November 1. We also covered the assortment in our earlier MOTU Chronicles 2027 Wave 1 official details article.

WSI also shared new in-package photos of all three figures, giving us a closer look at the packaging illustrations, accessories, and sculpt details. The window boxes feature character artwork along the sides, while the back panels include bios and product photography. The close-ups reveal sculpt and paint details we couldn’t make out during our SDCC coverage.

Clawful

I’ve been looking forward to this Clawful! When Mattel first introduced the New Eternia figures in the Masterverse line, this is the kind of reimagining I had in mind. It took the Chronicles line to finally go in the direction I was hoping for, and I can’t wait to add him to my collection. His enormous red claw is hard to miss, along with the textured shell armor covering his chest and shoulders. His lower body features brown legs, gray armored waist panels, and a blue belt, while the double-headed axe is packaged beside him. The front of the window box includes an illustration of Clawful lunging forward with his claw extended.

Clawful’s side packaging features an illustration of him charging forward with his double-headed axe raised and his massive claw extended. His red armor, blue chest markings, and oversized claw are all represented in the illustration.

Clawful’s packaging identifies him as the “Warrior with the Grip of Evil,” and his bio reveals that he has returned from a journey into the deepest parts of Eternia’s oceans, emerging more powerful than ever. Still serving Skeletor, Clawful is described as a hardened warrior who continues to battle He-Man and the Heroic Warriors. The back panel features a large product image of him raising his double-headed axe, along with two smaller photographs highlighting his massive claw and articulation.

Clawful’s head sculpt features black eyes, blue markings, ridged facial features, and large white teeth. His chest has raised shell textures with blue paint applications running across the muscles. The shoulder armor features thick spikes, while the waist armor includes layered gray plates and small colored beads above the front loincloth.

Mekaneck

Mekaneck was my favorite MOTU figure as a kid, so I’m especially excited to get another version of him, particularly one with a bendable neck! He comes packaged with his head at its standard height, while the long segmented neck accessory sits separately inside the tray. His red helmet features triangular green lenses, and the red chest harness sits over a dark blue bodysuit. Silver knee guards, mechanical gloves, and brown boots complete his familiar color scheme.

The side illustration features Mekaneck facing Skeletor, with a sword separating the two. His red helmet and green lenses contrast with the dark background, while Skeletor wears a purple hood with red eyes.

Mekaneck is described as the “Heroic Human Periscope,” with his bio identifying him as a member of the king’s royal guard. His mechanical extending neck remains his signature ability, which he uses when fighting Skeletor and his Evil Warriors. The large product photograph on the back of the box features his head raised high above his shoulders on a long, segmented neck accessory, with two smaller photographs showing him at normal height.

Mekaneck’s chest harness has an open framework with sculpted mechanical details beneath it. His blue shoulder armor, segmented forearm guards, and silver knuckles feature additional mechanical sculpting. The close-up also highlights the green lenses in his red helmet and the mechanical sections around his neck and shoulders.

Flight Armor He-Man

Flight Armor He-Man comes packaged with his blond-haired head installed, while the blue helmet sits separately inside the tray. His armor features an orange H emblem across the chest, a large shoulder plate, and an armored right arm. His sword, dagger, and interchangeable hands are arranged around him, while the window box features an illustration of He-Man wearing his flight armor.

The side illustration features He-Man wearing his blue helmet and raising the Power Sword, with a flying vehicle and bright energy effects in the background. The artwork continues the flight theme established by his new armor and accessories.

Flight Armor He-Man’s bio explains that when attacks from above threaten Eternia, he is equipped with specialized Flight Armor technology and a super-charged Sky Sled to defend against the evil forces. The back panel features a large illustration of He-Man riding the Sky Sled, along with two smaller product photographs showing different poses and accessories. Mekaneck and Clawful are also advertised as part of the assortment, while the Sky Sled and Bogus are sold separately.

The new He-Man head sculpt features longer blond hair and detailed facial paint applications. His blue chest armor has a textured finish, with the orange emblem sitting between the raised shoulder sections. The heavily armored right arm contrasts with his exposed left arm, while the layered waist armor continues the asymmetrical design.
