Rattlor Likely Coming to the He-Man and Masters of the Universe Animated Netflix CGI Line
With Season 3 Part 2 of the MOTU Animated Netflix CGI seriesaround the corner, could we see Rattlor figure revealed?
2023 is going to truly be the year of the Snake Men with the MOTU Origins line firing the first salvo debuting the Rise of the Snake Men figures! We were tipped off to this back in May 2022 where our Toy Habits sourced told us that the figure assortment for coming in January 2023 was Snake Armor He-Man, Bolt-Man, King Hiss, Thunder Punch-He-Man, Kobra Khan, and Rattlor. The Rise of the Snake Men officially debuted at San Diego Comic Comic Con 2022 as they were on full display in the MOTU Origins Eternia Playset diorama and they also got a special segment on Mattel’s panel, confirming 5 out of the 6 figures (minus Thunder Punch He-Man).

Rattlor CGI Animated Speculation
If you follow the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Netflix animated CGI series, they teased the coming of the Snake Men as a major part of the plot for part one of Season 3 and with part 2 right around the corner coming August 18, 2022. We took a closer look at a clip posted by yo_tengo_el_poder where we can clearly see Rattlor larger than life!

Based on the clips and trailers we’ve seen thus far from the Netflix animated CGI series, Rattlor’s color scheme harken’s back to his vintage figures color scheme with his classic burgundy, blue, and yellow style. In the close up image of his head, you can see his eyes have green energy running through them, tying the neon green in various parts of the figure together. You can also see the energy running through his tongue, the back of his head, his arms, and his tail.

From what we can see, Rattlor is gigantic and we are used to seeing all of the Masters of the Universe characters in the same scale but the Netlfix Animated CGI Series takes this further and gives Rattlor the design and stage presence he deserves.

Rattlor MOTU Netflix Animated Figure Design
We’ve seen some pretty amazing figure sculpts come out of the Netflix Animated CGI Series, with the latest being the Skeletor Reborn figure and Beast Man before him! It is quite possible that Rattlor, given the size he is portrayed in the animated series, is given the deluxe, oversize treatment we’ve seen in this line. You can also see an extra set of arms on Rattlor, which is a design aesthetic we have only seen with Webstor, Buzz Off, and Mosquitor from the Classics line so it would be amazing to see this aspect built out into the figure sculpt.

The toy line is doing some ground great things with the use of translucent plastic pieces, which are layered on to these figures. Since Rattlor has this green energy running through him, we expect to see the use of this material running through the actual production figure. We even saw our first elbow joint so it is quite possible that a Rattlor figure could also receive some much needed articulation.
