Snake Men

The Snake Men were once a powerful and ruthless army led by King Hiss, who sought to conquer Eternia and established Snake Mountain as their stronghold. However, the Elders of Eternia defeated them by using powerful magic to banish Hiss and his forces to a limbo-like dimension, causing their empire to collapse. A few Snake Men remained on Eternia, and after Skeletor freed King Hiss, the two villains formed an uneasy alliance against their common enemy, He-Man. Together, they used dark magic to attempt to resurrect the Snake Men army, but only a few soldiers were brought back. Their efforts to control powerful towers of magic on Eternia were interrupted by He-Man, preventing the full return of the Snake Men.

In various adaptations across different series, the Snake Men were portrayed with differing backstories and roles. In the 2002 series, they were a significant threat, pre-dating the Elders of Eternia and waging war against both He-Man and Skeletor. In the Netflix series, the Snake Men, known as the Serpos, were depicted as undead creatures created by King Hiss, capable of regeneration and linked to dark energies. Skeletor manipulates Krass to revive the Serpos and continue their master’s work. The Snake Men also appeared in the She-Ra: Princess of Power series, though their role was diminished and disconnected from their origins.

Heroic Warriors

The Heroic Warriors are a group of defenders on Eternia, led by He-Man, tasked with protecting the kingdom and Castle Grayskull from evil forces. Unlike the formal militia of Eternia, the Heroic Warriors are a more loosely organized group, each with unique talents or superhuman abilities. In various continuities, including the early minicomics, the 2002 franchise, and the 2021 Netflix animated series, they are referred to as the “Masters of the Universe,” highlighting their role as powerful heroes in the fight against evil.

At times, this leads them to act in defiance of Skeletor, pursuing their own goals in a way that can be treacherous.
